After a preliminary investigation, it was realized that the small business market struggled to afford the services available from the 'Big Firms', and the skills of the local 'bookkeeper' were inadequate.

After 2 years of development, the first Ledgers franchise is awarded to Terry Bachmann in Moncton NB. Terry was instrumental in developing the marketing models, policies and procedures; some we still utilize today.
In November of 2000, Ledgers is acquired by the current owner and moved to Newmarket ON
We began re-branding, redesigned the logo, website and marketing materials.
We became 'Ledgers Professional Services' as the name Ledgers Professional Bookkeeping was too singular and did not reflect the suite of services we offered.
There are now 10 Franchise locations and Brand Awareness is increasing.
